FAQ
Common Questions
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We are by appointment only at our studio in Aldershot, on the
Hampshire/Surrey Border. Please see the “Contact us” on the website.
How long does the Iris Photography session take?
Capturing your Iris typically takes around 20 minutes. Then, we will discuss with you
at your appointment about any effects you might be interested in and explore your
Wall Art options.
Is anything put in to my eye?
No. The process of capturing your Iris is non invasive.
Do you use flashes?
Yes, we use flash photography and therefore request that if anyone is sensitive to
flashing lights, such as those with photosensitive epilepsy, to refrain from booking an
appointment.
Does the process hurt at all?
No. You will be seated and comfortable, and we have a chin/head rest for your
comfort too. The camera lens is moved backwards or forwards to focus on your Iris,
but is never close to your eye at any point.
I wear contact lenses will you be able to capture my Iris?
The flash will reflect off the contact lenses and will make the image unusable.
Therefore, we ask customers to remove their contact lenses at the time of the
session. So please bring a container to put them in to, if this is required.
Will it be ok to wear my false eyelashes?
Ideally, we would prefer customers to remove their false eyelashes at the time of the
shoot, as this may cause reflection issues during the photo shoot.
How long until I see my Iris image?
We will take a number of photos and then present these to you soon after, if you
wish. We will also discuss and guide you in choosing your distinctive piece of art
from the selection of styles and effects that we offer, as an integral part of your
experience with us. We will endeavour to process your order in a timely manner, and
take no longer than 14 days from session to delivery.
Do I have to add effects to my Iris?
No, you don't. You can have the Iris with no effects added. We will work with you to deliver your preferences and the decision to incorporate additional effects is entirely
yours.
How many Irises can be combined into 1 image?
We can create many Irises into one image. More time will be required in
photographing the Irises and for post production work. Please refer to our Products
and Pricing page. If you require additional Iris’s to the prices included within our Products and Pricing page, please email us for a price.
Do you take group bookings?
Yes, we do. Please send us an email with your details and we will get back to you to
discuss your requirements.
Do you do events?
Yes, we can do events by appointment. Please contact us with your requirements
and we would be happy to put a quote together for you.
Will I be able to view the different types of wall art at my appointment?
Yes, we will show you a comprehensive selection of wall art finishes for you to view. Also, at event sessions, we will bring our range of wall art options and samples for
your convenience.
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age to book a photo session is 18. Anyone below this age will be
required to be accompanied by an adult. We can capture the irises of children from 5
years of age, providing they are able to sit still during the photo session.
Can I include my pets Iris at a session?
No, unfortunately we do not photograph any Pet Iris’s at present.
